Assists the Controller in directing accounting functions, establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Administers all levels of accounting ranging from clerical level processing through more complex account reconciliations and analysis, and special projects as needed by management
Ensures monthly accounting close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities are completed accurately and on time
Analyzes overhead and monthly calculation of indirect rates, and assists in preparing the annual incurred costs submission to the government, as well as annual provisional rates
Ensures company controls are consistent with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and coordinate quarterly self-audits
Administers the company’s Purchasing Card program
Assists with internal and external audits
Completes and files property tax and quarterly sales tax returns
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of industry experience with knowledge of FAR, CAS, and SOX Sec 104 requirements
Detail-oriented, self starter, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills (especially Excel)
Experience with MS Dynamics Great Plains a plus
