Milliman Account Executive - IntelliScript in Chicago, Illinois

Milliman IntelliScript offers industry leading risk management solutions to the insurance industry. Specifically, IntelliScript is a Milliman business unit that delivers electronic medical data (such as prescription histories, diagnoses, treatment data, etc.) and software for use in medical underwriting, population health and mortality analysis. Due to current and future growth opportunities, Milliman is looking for an energetic, motivated, and articulate team player to join our team as an Account Executive for a sales territory covering the northwest region of the United States. This position will ideally be based out of the Chicago, IL Milliman office (71 S Wacker Dr), but we are open to remote employment.

We are looking for a driven, bold, and analytical individual to hunt new business and expand our presence with existing customers, which are primarily life and health insurers. The successful candidate will thrive in a results-oriented environment, creatively solve problems, think on his/her feet, and be comfortable in new situations working with and initiating contact with Vice President and C-level contacts.

The primary purpose of the Account Executive is to achieve their annual revenue goals. In order to consistently achieve this goal, the Account Executive will need to generate and manage an ongoing opportunity pipeline of three or more times the annual quota.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop interest within targeted accounts, manage the review process, and ultimately bring opportunities to a close

  • Corner the market on all IntelliScript product related projects and opportunities within defined territory

  • Demonstrate and speak as an expert on the Milliman IntelliScript business solutions product suite

  • Stay current and passionate about relevant political, legislative and market conditions in order to engage and drive sales forward and generate new opportunities

  • Appropriately engage other Milliman IntelliScript business units and departments such as business development, marketing, IT and legal throughout the sales cycle

  • Negotiate and manage the contract process to closure

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in Salesforce

  • Provide accurate forecasts and details to sales management to evaluate all sales opportunities

Qualifications

  • Five years of solution-based, enterprise sales experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA or applicable Master’s preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills: prefer a background in statistics, mathematics, finance or economics

  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills

  • Enjoys an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture

  • Self-motivated, tenacious, resourceful, organized, and able to exercise independent judgment

  • One to three days of travel weekly (often day trips)

Base pay: $110-130K commensurate with experience

Year One OTE: $280-300K target compensation at plan, uncapped commissions

Year Two OTE: $350K target compensation at plan, uncapped commissions
