This position is responsible for performing accounting functions supporting ADNY and RRD to complete all necessary financial reporting; maintaining both financial and managerial accounting records; analysis and investigation of accounting data. This position is also responsible for supervision of Account Payable (A/P) function within the Planning Department, including all unit reporting, maintenance of procedure manuals, committee participation and staff support.
Accounting Liaison and Budgeting Function
Provide necessary accounting data to prepare all financial reports for ACB(Midwest). Prepare all daily and monthly financial reporting including customer profitability reports, income statements and balance sheets. Prepare all Head Office reports, including GAP/FX reports, as assigned.
Track the receipt of booking of affiliated fees for managerial accounting purposes. Act as liaison with affiliate staff to ensure such fees are recognized accurately and in a timely manner. Analyze and reconcile data from Chicago front-office with data from corresponding affiliates. Prepare agent transaction reports.
Assist in the preparation of ACB(Midwest) budget for ACB management. Generate expense reports monthly or as requested by management. Analyze budget variances and discuss with management.
Prepare/review tax and regulatory reports.
Perform other accounting related functions as required.
Manage the Account Payable functions for ACB(Midwest) and prepare A/P related reports as required.
Responsible for A/P related internal / external audit compliance, which includes and is not limited to: maintaining A/P related compliance requirements, preparing and submitting any requested reports or items for the IAOA auditors, the CEA auditors, the Federal Reserve Bank examiners and other external auditors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
3 year experience in accounting in a financial institution.
Sound knowledge of finance, accounting, legal/documentation, and administration.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Strong administrative skills, knowledge of loan administration and accounting procedures.
Excellent analytic and quantitative skills
Able to work independently and under pressure.
