Provides the organization with insightful analysis and accurate reporting of all costs associated with running a manufacturing business. The general scope will include cost accounting, indirect cost, inventory valuation and warranty tracking.

  • Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures

  • Gather and analyze historical cost data on such activities as material purchases, labor, equipment depreciation, repairs, assembly, operating expenses, etc.

  • Assists Pricing by developing unit costs and projecting expenses

  • Prepares reports, and provides insight into, costs comparisons including budget to actual, or quarter over quarter

  • Prepare actual and forecast profitability analyses

  • Recommend enhancements to the cost accounting work flow in our current ERP system

  • Complete journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Track and report on NRE/Earned Value on development projects

  • Actively track and maintain the R&D costs in the organization

  • Train as a back-up for reporting financials to corporate (HFM software)

  • Complete cost of sales schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis for corporate

  • Participate in and recommend Kaizen events to improve organizational effectiveness

  • Perform inventory valuation, calculate reserve requirements and maintain the cycle count program

  • Coordinate with Purchasing on make/buy analysis decisions

  • Provide guidance to the organization on budget preparation and roll up the cost schedules for the budget

  • Maintain and track product and claim flow for Warranty management

  • 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance

  • 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • HFM experience

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
