Senior Accountant We are growing our full time consulting (Salaried Professional) practice and looking for experienced Senior Accountants. This is an exciting, full-time, opportunity for a Senior Accountant with at least 4+ years of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience; public accounting experience and an active Texas CPA is highly desired for this dynamic position, but not required. Our Senior Accountants should be self-motivated, communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly to all audiences, and enjoy tackling new challenges in unique environments. * Please apply to galleriasps@roberthalf.com Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities for the successful Senior Accountant include: • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances • Preparation of journal entries • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas • Preparation of work papers for annual audit • Assist with budget preparation and prepare the monthly budget variance analyses • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules • Assist with initial internal control evaluations • Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested • Supervising accounting staff Job Requirements and Qualifications for the ideal Senior Accountant: • 5+ years of accounting experience preferably in a senior accounting role • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited university, required. MBA or professional certification preferred. • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups required; macros preferred) • Knowledge of large accounting ERP systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Great Plains, etc. is preferred • Experience using reporting tools such as Hyperion, FRx, Crystal Reports, SQL, or COGNOS is preferred • Comprehensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations. • Ability to work cross functionally with all levels to perform job duties • SOX Compliance / testing experience highly desired • Public accounting experience highly desired • SEC Reporting experience highly desired * Please apply to galleriasps@roberthalf.com
