The AM provides guidance to the sponsor with regulatory issues, such as late contributions, DOL or IRS audits, compliance testing, 5500 filing and plan audits, required annual notices, etc. He/ she provides both proactive and consultative Plan Design assistance to plan sponsors, including recommendations for improving plan design. May represent the department in projects and will be expected to speak on behalf of the department s leadership team. The AM must exercise discretion regarding when to make decisions in projects and when to seek input from other team members or management. Consults with clients regarding day-to-day administrative issues questions related to contribution and distribution processing, mergers and acquisitions, data and payroll conversions, utilization of automated features and web technology. May speak on behalf of the department s leadership team. Has knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, Department of Labor Regulations, internal policies and procedures, and plan design. Identify between three and eight primary duties and responsibilities for the position.
