We invite you to join our company as an Inside Sales Account Representative in Kent, WA. In this professional sales role you will have decision-making authority and responsibility for growing an existing multi-million dollar roster of active Univar customers through aggressive pursuit of business held by our competitors, in addition to maintaining and improving profitability on current business. While all of our sales calls are done over the phone, this is an account executive level sales role, not a support role, and requires a driven self-starter attitude and the ability to work autonomously. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: * Using accepted Univar selling processes, produces profitable revenue growth for Univar. Profitably manages all activity within assigned sales territory/roster of accounts (includes Sales$, price quotes, and all other sales targets). * Uncovers customer needs, defines opportunities, and solves problems through ongoing dialogue. * Understands Univar's products and services and applications of key products. * Understands area competitors and their services, limitations and capabilities and shares this information with appropriate individuals. * Builds and sustains long-term, profitable customer relationships by developing rapport with all relevant decision-makers within customer's organization, responding to customer needs, establishing a long-term business perspective, and fulfilling customer expectations with realistic commitments. Serves as a resource to customers by sharing useful information such as regulations, safety, product knowledge and market pricing. * Proactively maintains technical and competitive market knowledge and understands the implications on customer business. Routinely seeks out solutions and/or new opportunities, and works with customers to educate and secure additional sales. * Conducts effective sales calls and gains commitment from customers to further the sales process. Able to consistently uncover and close selling opportunities. * Successfully executes territory management plan, as agreed upon with Sales Manager. Qualifications: Qualified applicants will exhibit: * A team player attitude with a competitive fire. * Ability to identify and close business entirely over the phone. * Exceptional business acumen and communication skills. * Strong negotiating and problem-solving capability. * Comfort adjusting to a fluid and ever-changing marketplace. * Prior sales experience and/or degree in Business, Psychology, Communications etc. preferred. <
