DNV GL Accounts Payable Team Lead in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The Accounts Payable Team Lead will report to the Area Finance Manager.
Manage a team of AP Accountants processing full cycle accounts payable (P2P) transactions.
Train, develop, and motivate staff to provide high standard of internal and external customer service.
Manage and revise work flow duties as needed.
Monitor and direct inbound inquiries from internal and external customer.
Works under general supervision.
Serves as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Orients, trains, assigns and checks others’ work.
Streamline internal processes to ensure most efficient operational standards.
Review and manage exception reports, KPIs, and other key indicators of performance/output.
Process check runs.
Processing of invoices into basware including coding.
Processing of TES including checking verifying the supporting document, tax code and accounts code.
Handling IC netting process.
Prepare journals related to GST such as Reverse charge journals
Perform monthly Basware accrual.
Advise withholding tax rate on AP invoices, prepare tax withholding on applicable payments and organize remittance to relevant authorities.
Resolution of basware transfer errors.
Take actions on AP statements from vendors to resolve promptly any dispute or overdue invoices.
Monthly/weekly AP subledger to general ledger reconciliations.
Performs other duties as assigned, such as special projects directed by Finance or Audit.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years’ experience of accounts payable processing experience in high volume environment.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrate experience with general ledger account reconciliations including month end closing processes and general knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficient in Excel and Word.
