Accountemps is actively searching for a talented Accounting Clerk for a well-managed company. The Accounting Clerk will primarily be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long term temporary-to-fulltime employment opportunity based in the Montgomery, Alabama area. Your responsibilities - Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - Companywide accounting and administration aid: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit - Rectify transaction documents, which may involve alteration of other documents or entries as well as the original; may initiate other actions - Upload financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers, via by hand or by electronic equipment - Assist in control of budgets by monitoring budgets and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers - Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources - Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply online or email resumes directly to
