Johnson Controls UPG Customer Account Mgr in Norman, Oklahoma

Account Manager Job Responsibilities:

· Management of multiple customer -specific accounts as assigned by management__

· Promotes special sales initiatives including unsold Balance on Hand, Lead Time Order program, Obsolete Inventory, and Special Terms event offerings__

· Recommends product replacement models for phase-out/phase-in models to customers__

· Assists customers with new model configuration process as necessary__

· Obtains shipping quotes as necessary for calculation of sales Incoterms__

· Assists customer with Order Placement, Credit Requests, Return Authorizations, Shipping Issues, Product Availability, and Pricing inquiries__

· Primary contact for all daily customer inquiries and communications regarding order readiness, projected delivery dates, and sales and distribution policies and procedures __

· Provides fundamental training to customers for website applications for daily processes__

· Ensures that customer issues are dealt with in an efficient, timely manner and enlists the help of management or Supervisory personnel when appropriate __

  • Order entry and all customer changes to orders
  • Order expediting with production planning personnel
  • Order status of quantities shipped and/or pending and estimated ready date
  • Order delay notification (i.e. Purchasing, Production or Logistics issues)
  • Job site coordination with End Customer/Contractor (on-time delivery critical)
  • Model number updates (phase-in/phase-out) on orders according to product life cycle—seeking clarification of information from various supporting departments #external

Qualifications



· Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree or some college courses required or requisite work experience. Three to four years experience in Account Management is preferred or similar Customer Service experience is required__

· Experience in SAP preferred__

· Strong Data entry skills__

· Proficiency required in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point)__

· Extremely detail- oriented and customer-focused__

· Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction__

· Advanced problem resolution skills __

· Ability to manage multiple customer accounts as assigned__

· Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of management and internal/external customer base__

· Motivated, goal-oriented, and persistent__

· Highly innovative and willing to go beyond customer expectations to drive positive results__

· Works well in team environment__

· Handles deadlines and stressful situations well__

· Conducts all activities and communications with customers in professional and courteous manner __
