Primary purpose and function of this position:

Manage SAP solution developmenet lifecycle for the general ledger functions of the Budget to Report track. Manage development teams and tasks. Ensure deliverables related to responsible area are implemented in a way which complies with project standards and established methodologies and practices.

The purpose of this role is to lead the technical solutions in analysis, design, and development of all Financial Accounting (FI module) technologies in order to support Enterprise SAP project implemenation for the accounting function.

This position is part of the cluster solution, design and delivery team of the program.

Requires blend of both business processes and SAP functional knowledge and understanding of technical processes and tools.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere local solutions to the global template while ensuring that local business requirmemnts are met.

  • Provide technical guidance to the functional teams.

  • Analyze user requirements, procedures and automation of processes and improve existing developments and processes.

  • Provide technical consultation, system design, methodologies, tools, and standards.

  • Lead all relevant development team meetings and implement decisions.

  • Owner of the assigned business process(es) within the Budget to Report Track

  • Is primarily responsible (including authoring, review and approval) for all deliverables relating to the business processes, including local URSs, FSs, local FDSs and all CSD DSs

  • Provide input to Global Core team on the update of Global FS, FDS, CSD documents

  • Lead localization design activities of the E2E process, including reporting and configuration of regionally owned objects

  • Alignment with local IT resources for conversion and interfaces with legacy and interdependent applications

  • Oversight of build and testing activities of legacy applications in alignment with the interdependent project team member assigned to the E2E track

  • Understanding of technical landscape and impact on design, build and data migration activities

  • Design and coordinate testing activities including relevant test scripts.

  • Local testing activities and requirements, including scripting, execution and verification – for SAP, BI and other systems that make up the E2E process

  • Manage and resolve defects

  • Development, communication and execution of data load plans, including coordination with SMEs

  • Data quality assessment, mapping execution, extraction, construction, transformation, load execution system environment, and verification of data after loads.

  • Business Change Impact Planning and implementation

  • Lead all engagement with SMEs including documentation, Solution Previews, UAT, Train-the-trainer, End User Training

  • Support business readiness including training programs, and hypercare.

  • Support Reporting Needs including the collection of user requirements, the development of solutions in both ECC and BI, and the demonstration of solutions to users.

  • Support Training/Knowledge Transfer including the development of training programs for financial users.

  • Support onboarding activities of SMEs

  • Support Role Mapping

  • Support Financial Reporting Requirements of other tracks OTC, D2S, P2P.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree. Master, preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience on SAP FI Architecture , Data Migration & Data Integration project experience preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of leading SAP development team including project planing and delivery.

  • Multiple enterprise-wide software development projects covering deploy and support phases.

  • Strong experience in technical design documentation.

  • Experience in complex SAP environments supporting multiple components (source and target), preferred.

  • Must have demonstated ability to work independently with low supervision.

  • Requires ability to conduct meetings remotely and must be able to communicate effectively with global audiences.

  • Familiarity with Informatica 10 or similar data staging tools, preferred.

  • Experience with a global company is required.

  • Previous pharma company project, preferred.

  • Previous exerience with a consulting company is preferred.

  • Experience with initiating and leading meetings via remote attendance.
