Position Summary:

Key member of Financial Reporting team. Assist with the Comcast company-wide consolidation and preparation of SEC filings with a primary focus on the consolidation. Assist in the research and documentation of accounting issues for both Comcast and NBCUniversal. Assist department with other duties as needed. Contribute to a positive team attitude.

Core Responsibilities:

Consolidation of Comcast Corporation

-Assist in the preparation of consolidating journal entries for the Comcast Corporation consolidation

-Assist with review of Financial Reporting Packages received from divisions for unusual items and investigate these items

-Communicate with divisional representatives to discuss quarterly accounting transactions and assist with accounting inquiries to facilitate analysis

-Assist in the establishment of consolidated accounting processes and procedures

Financial Statement Analysis

-Prepare consolidated Financial Statement Analysis including analysis of changes in working capital, for Senior Management's use, supporting the Company's quarterly/annual financial statements and earnings conference call.

-Prepare and analyze consolidated rollforwards

Preparation of Forms 10-K and 10-Q

-Assist with preparation of 10-K and 10-Q

-Prepare supporting work papers for disclosures in 10-K and 10-Q including footnotes and MD&A preparation

-Key member of Financial Reporting team owning other recurring or nonrecurring aspects of the financial close and reporting process

Additional Responsibilities:

-Prepare quarterly and annual separate company financial statements for regulatory, statutory and debt compliance purposes

-Prepare certain portions of the Hart Scott Rodino filings

-Assist in developing and implementing process improvements

-Prepare supporting documentation and analysis on an ad hoc basis to various departments throughout Comcast

-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience:

-Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA a plus

-Minimum of 3 years practical experience in accounting; public accounting a plus

-Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills

-Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks

-Proficiency in general ledger consolidation and reporting software applications (Hyperion Financial Management consolidation and Wdesk a plus)

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
