Kelly Engineering Resources, a leading provider in workforce solutions, has an excellent full time opportunity for an Engineering Business Development Representative.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing business with prospective strategic customers and penetration and retention of existing customers. This is a hybrid inside and outside sales role. Business development includes the following:
Lead identification and qualification
Creating and developing proposals and pricing models
Documenting customer agreements (e.g., contract, service agreement)
Closing sales through effective negotiation
Documenting sales activities and conducting business reviews
3+ years sales experience in the staffing or service industry. Candidates selling in a technical or manufacturing environment highly preferred.
Proven track record of B2B sales – with an emphasis on new business development
Ability to take direction
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Team player that seeks to be part of a team
Structured approach to work day and development activities
Open to and seeking a training and learning environment
The candidate must possess a proven ability to develop business, build relationships, network, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. In addition, they must demonstrate a strong internal/external customer focus and personal leadership, and solid negotiation and presentation skills. The candidate must also collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
