Tracking Code 20170289 Job Description SUMMARY: To develop and manage the OEM truck manufacturer s accounts and sales efforts for Odyssey AGM batteries related to the business unit (Specialty) in Reserve Power. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Manage, direct all sales functions pertaining to the OEM account sector. These customers would be Daimler, Navistar, Volvo/Mack PACCAR and all affiliated brands. * Manage, direct all sales functions pertaining to the OEM truck manufacurer s including procurement, warranty, engineering and aftermarket sales. * Establish measurable and achievable goals and action plans for the overall business pertaining to the above mentioned. * Manage and maintain OEM contractural agreements pertaining to the above markets mentioned. * Develop and implement sales plans for select target customers. Stategy to win new business and knowledge of margin consideration pertaining to these sectors. * Maintain appropriate and timely reporting and listing of prospective accounts in the market sectors as mentioned above. * Work with marketing team to develop key OEM presentations and marketing strategies focused on the OEM dealerships and end user/ pull through programs. * Monitor pricing and lead adjustments as well as warranty expense as it pertains to the above sector responsibility. * Build/develop key relationships within above markets mentioned. * Work closely with Area Managers and District Sales Managers to maintain overall direction and understanding of key customer solicitation. * Understanding of pricing stategy to the OEM sector as to not disrupt existing Odyssey channel business. * Provide monthly updates on progress of account solicitation. * Manage expenses/travel as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is the first in the creation of a new team.it is therefore anticipated that the successful candidate will be involved in the recruitment and management of team members as the effort gathers momentum. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE : BACHELOR DEGREE AND AT LEAST 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE OEM HEAVY DUTY SECTOR (TRUCK MANUFACTURING). WE WOULD CONSIDER AN APPLICANT WITH NO DEGREE BUT MUST HAVE TEN YEARS OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE. THIS POSTION REQUIRES AT LEAST FIVE YEARS OF A HIGH LEVEL OF SALES/MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND DIRECT KNOWLEDGE OF THE OEM MARKET COMPUTER SKILLS: KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT OFFICE AND INTERNET TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50% national travel time required.
