An opening is currently available for a Key Account Manager – St. Louis/Kansas City, MO area.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual strategic plan for accounts with the Americas.

  • Identify and manage key customer programs to maximize organic growth and profitability.

  • Work with cross-functional team to maximize hit-rate on customer program development.

  • Coordinate projects with Sales Engineers to maximize effectiveness at customer plant level.

Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Program Specification Details (Upstream Engineering).

  • Project (Program) Management.

  • Lead communications with Stanley Management & Sales Team.

  • Lead the proposal team for platform level quotations.

  • Work with Engineering/Operations to ensure Tool Certification/Validation.

  • Presentation/Demonstration of SAT Full Product Lines.

  • Acquire product approval from Customer corporate engineering/tech center teams.

  • Proposal Generation.

  • Lead Corporate Price Negotiations.

  • Use mechanical and engineering acumen to establish partnership with end-users and offer assembly solutions for critical joint applications.

  • Identify customer CTQs ensuring SAT’s products and services meet and exceed customer performance expectations.

  • Act as a voice of the customer to Product Line Management and Design Engineering assisting in the process of documenting, qualifying and consolidating customer CTQs on new products and updates to existing products.

  • Understanding of competitors’ product and services and how to sell against them. Experience Requirements:

  • 5 plus years of technical sales experience.

  • Track record of penetration into companies within the Heavy Truck/Heavy Equipment and Automotive Tiers a plus

  • Assembly Processes & Techniques.

  • Power Tool Functions & Capabilities preferred.

  • Application Engineering & Tool Specifications preferred.

  • Negotiation Skills.

  • Business Acumen.

  • Computer Literate – MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
