The Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions. The key objectives of this position are to ensure integrity

and accuracy of financial data and to assist in providing this data to management in a timely manner to facilitate decision making.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

Perform various aspects of daily accounting functions

Preparation of month-end closing entries

Assist in ensuring timely month-end, quarter-end and annual financial reporting

Assist in annual review and tax filings

Compile data for analysis

Maintain accounting controls

Work with other departments including cash applications, payroll, receivables, purchasing and others to ensure timely recording of financial data

Keep account detail in balance with the general ledger

Assist in annual forecasting

Ensure accurate sales and use tax reporting

Assist in preparation of key metrics reporting

Reconcile certain cash accounts daily

Interface with bank through online access and data transmission

Prepare personal and property tax reports

Prepare governmental compliance reports

Prepare certain 5500’s

Other ad hoc projects and functions as directed


1-3 years of accounting experience

College degree required, BA/BS in Accounting or Business

CPA a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Great Plains experience a plus

Report Writer experience a plus (FRx or Microsoft Dynamics Management Reporter)
