Description of Job

This position exists to manage the day-to-day Workforce Development 11 Regional/County cash settlement, accounts payable and encumbrances that needs to maintain in CORE/CLEAR systems. This position follows the procedures and policies to ensure adherence to rules and regulations of GAAP, Department, State and Federal fiscal rules. Analyze, reconcile and advise sub-recipient financial manager's contracts and account payable financial data using both CORE and CLAR financial systems in order to process cash settlement on a timely basis. Provides timely and accuracy financial information to CDLE staff and sub recipients. Advises and discusses matters of financial importance with the sub recipients as well as CDLE staff. This position must reconcile both CLEAR and CORE expenditures. This position must make sure the vendors reimbursements are received in a timely manner. This consists of monitoring CLEAR for entries from the vendors and CORE for the corresponding payment. Provide CLEAR technical assistance and the customer services to the regions/counties. Other additional duties as required by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Education and Experience:
Must be a current State of Colorado resident in order to apply.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting and two years of professional accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution which included 27 semester hours of accounting or auditing coursework will substitute for the degree requirement.
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Current, valid licensure as a CPA by the Colorado Board of Accountancy will substitute for the degree requirement and two years of the professional accounting experience.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
