Record all intercompany transactions between FHI 360 and its subsidiary companies. A good working knowledge of intercompany accounting and consolidations/eliminations necessary.
Reconcile intercompany accounts on FHI 360’s and subsidiaries books monthly.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts of subsidiary companies of FHI 360 monthly.
Responsibilities within subsidiary companies will include aspects beyond GL Accounting. Independent responsibility in areas of Revenue, Billing, Cash Receipts, and Accounts Payable is expected.
Generate reports and basic financial statements to support senior management team of subsidiary companies.
Allocation of general and administrative expenses to projects.
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. Work may include: Preparation of monthly account reconciliations and reports, examination of various financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to guidelines, and maintenance of subsidiary ledgers.
Facilitate and complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
Develop and implement control systems for determining and distributing costs.
Independently apply accounting principles and practices to a variety of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting and/or other fiscal functions
Review interdepartmental journal entries
Ensures daily operations of the accounting systems
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Assist in various financial analysis projects and closure of accounting records
Responds to new or changing management requests related to audit and fiscal procedures, account structures or reports and accounting systems
Prepare reports and statements on a regular and ad hoc basis
Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
Independently resolve issues of moderate complexity
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Related Field.
5+ years of accounting experience: 8+ years of accounting/finance experience and CPA preferred
Substantial experience using computerized information systems.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) theories and practices.
Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems (i.e. Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle.)
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership skills in team setting
