U.S. Bank RPS Operations Senior Leader-Card Underwriting, Account Initiation, Card Issuance and Service in FARGO, North Dakota

We are an industry leader in issuing credit cards, payment card production and related services, offering a single source for credit, debit and prepaid debit cards including EMV chip. This dynamic senior leadership role is responsible for:

  • Leading and directing the Retail Payment Solutions (RPS) account initiation, credit card underwriting, payment research, and card embossing/issuance divisions focusing on development, leadership support and the effective, efficient, and professional delivery of services and products.

  • Ensuring financial objectives are met while ensuring risk levels remain within the Bank’s risk tolerance.

  • Leveraging technology solutions to drive customer satisfaction, organizational efficiency and automation.

  • Participates in the review and recommendations for all system enhancements and upgrades.

  • Responding to critical issues and line down situations.

  • Supporting the development of business cases, developing business requirements, and identifying and implementing the deployment of resources.

  • Develop and manage departmental relationships with internal and external partners to ensure objectives are aligned and accomplished.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent work

experience

  • 15 or more years of senior leadership experience in an applicable credit

management environment. Credit card portfolio experience a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication, presentation,

project management and negotiation skills in order to gain trust, achieve

business objectives, and work directly with a broad group of leaders

throughout the company.

  • A strong accuracy and detail orientation.

  • Demonstrated expertise in credit concepts and practices for the financial

services industry.

  • Deep knowledge and expertise of underwriting and account management

techniques, and credit operational background.

  • Proven ability to understand, evaluate and resolve problems.

  • Ability to research and understand complex regulatory issues and laws,

demonstrate the related risks brought to our organization, and collaboratively

work to provide appropriate risk handling activities.

  • Ability to function in a deadline intensive environment, managing multiple

responsibilities while effectively focusing on priority issues.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with limited direct

supervision.
