Description

The Strategic Account Manager , D-A-CH , with Tableau software plays a pivotal part in the overall sales organization. As a senior sales professional on our team, you will be responsible for a set of our largest, top tier customers across the D-A-CH region, and will work with them to significantly, and strategically, grow the Tableau footprint within these accounts. Using your extensive strategic sales experience, you will be identifying your customer’s roadmap, and translating that into a strategic plan and long-term partnership. You will also have an account team to support your efforts – including Pre-sales, inside sales, marketing, customer success manager and business development representatives to enable your success. This role can be based in Frankfurt, Munich or Cologne.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include

  • Defining and executing on your account plans for your assigned, strategic accounts, in order to achieve/exceed your sales quota and goals

  • Identifying and closing white space and account expansion opportunities

  • Leveraging and orchestrating your internal account team, and senior leadership, to help drive strategic deals with your accounts and to show the true impact, and value that Tableau can give to your customers.

  • Providing product insight and awareness, and partnering with pre-sales on more complex and in depth presentations

  • Nurturing and expanding the company's relationship with multiple stakeholders across all areas of the account – be their trusted advisor, and central point of contact

  • Keeping up to date on competitive analysis, industry trends and relevant news

  • Participate in team building and company growth activities – including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care

  • Travelling to customer accounts to support your sales efforts.

Who you are … ​

  • Experienced . at least 10+ years of Software/SaaS sales experience. You've worked with complex sales to Enterprise Accounts (DAX, MDAX) and have a track record in successfully winning/closing 7-digit-deals across large enterprise/strategic accounts.

  • Domain Experience with business applications, analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence preferred. Bachelor's Degree with a technical or business focus preferred.

  • Performer . Consistent over-achievement of sales goals and an example to the salesforce.

  • Amazing Salesperson . You have a desire to nurture and expand the company´s relationship within named accounts to maximize revenue. You are a closer

  • Excellent Communication . You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it. Fluent in German and English – written, reading and spoken.
