General Electric Lead Sales Specialist - Account Sales in Santiago, Chile

Role Summary:

Responsible for selling Power Electronics Products and Systems/Projects within a geographic area. Drive & Control and Electrical/Automation Systems to Mining, Marine, Industry and other relevant segments that makes sense.

Develop vision for important markets on the level of product lines with a medium/long term perspective.

Lead business development planning processes for this market.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide the necessary leadership, support and guidance to ensure the sales strategy is aligned with business direction and supports accomplishment of the overall business

  • Accountable for High Say/Do Ratio on all activities as measured by agreed upon time, quantity and quality metrics

  • Consistently arrive prepared and well versed, in order to optimize clients’ time when aligning to desired business outcomes; For those contracts or engagements that are required, able to work with manager and teammates to develop and implement a comprehensive risk management and compliance strategy to complement all contractual work

  • Deliver at the highest possible speed and quality is critical in this role, as is consistent process execution, and identification and elimination of process inefficiencies

  • Success is measured via adherence to stated service levels, conversion rates, and orders volume

  • Provide regular feedback to stakeholders within the business

  • Work with manager and peers to create a strategy for participating in the market environments to help learn VOC, collect market knowledge, and engage others

  • Persist to identify and prioritize client needs; Asks relevant questions to defining the business outcome

  • Create forecasts based on pipeline data

  • Identify opportunities where sales efforts may have stalled and assists with resolving issues

  • Sophisticated products, product lines and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used

  • Products, product lines and systems are client specific and require customization

  • Coordinates sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance etc.

  • Department is involved in big sales


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 8 additional years of experience in Sales Origination

  • Strong technical/commercial background on selling to Electrical, Automation & ControlProducts/Systems to different industries/segments in Chile (desirable Latam experience), including Industry and Marine markets

  • Fluent Spanish and English (Portuguese desired)

  • Experience with Databases and/or Customer Relationship Management Systems

  • Working knowledge of GE portfolio and is able to leverage that to understand customer's needs and find integrated solutions to meet those needs
